Summary: We are a well-funded startup operating in the telecommunications industry across five South East Asian markets, with ambitious plans for significant network expansion. Xenith IG is a provider of critical digital infrastructure in the Asia Pacific Region. We build, own, and operate dense, bulk dark fibre networks in Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Melbourne and Sydney. We are focused on providing data centre to data centre connectivity, and act as an enabling technology for companies with significant datacenter and connectivity requirements. We serve hyperscalers, large enterprises, carriers and data centres operators to provide them bulk connectivity.
- Key Responsibilities: _
- Lead and manage the design, construction, and implementation of fiber network infrastructure projects in Singapore and other South East Asian markets, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets, monitoring progress and making adjustments as necessary to meet project objectives and accommodate regional requirements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across different markets, such as sales, and operations teams, to ensure that project requirements are clearly defined and met.
- Manage a team of Fiber Technicians in Singapore, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure high-quality fiber splicing and testing outcomes.
- Oversee the selection and management of regional contractors and suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring they deliver in accordance with agreed-upon terms.
- Continuously evaluate and optimize network design and construction processes, taking into account local market conditions and regulations, while implementing best practices and industry standards.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards in Singapore and other South East Asian markets, fostering a culture of safety within the team.
- Provide regular status updates to senior management and stakeholders, identifying and addressing any project risks and issues unique to each market.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advancements in fiber network technology, making recommendations for improvements and enhancements as necessary.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and partners in Singapore and other South East Asian markets, representing the company in a professional and positive manner.
- Requirements: _
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on fiber network infrastructure design and construction in Singapore and/or other South East Asian markets.
- Proven experience managing teams of technical professionals, ideally Fiber Technicians, in a regional context.
- Strong knowledge of fiber optic network design, construction, and testing methodologies, as well as familiarity with local market conditions and regulations.
- Excellent project management skills, with experience using project management software and tools.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across different markets.
- Solid problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering results in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment.
- Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and industry standards in Singapore and other South East Asian markets.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification is preferred but not required.
- Ability to travel within the South East Asian region as needed to support project activities.
