JLL’s Pursuits team is a high-performance group of business development strategists. We are focused on driving revenue growth, and do this by equipping, enriching and enabling our business teams to grow. Through introducing and leading a strategic and innovative methodology for winning business, we achieve significant results with each team we partner with.
A core component of our value is the ability to successfully differentiate JLL within a highly competitive marketplace. In this role, you will work closely with our APAC business to deliver the APAC Pursuits team’s approach to winning business and driving revenue growth. You will be responsible for crafting winning proposal strategies, developing compelling value propositions and communicating the unique selling points that put us ahead of the competition.
**Responsibilities**:
Work with the business leaders across the JLL business to achieve their growth strategy by leading the most significant and strategic pursuits in JLL’s key growth markets
Play a key role in coordinating multi-jurisdictional pursuits to ensure document quality, consistency and key messages are the same
Be a leading member of the broader Pursuits team, including helping to connect the teams across APAC and sharing best practice.
Play an integral role in on-boarding new Pursuits recruits assisting them to learn the Pursuit Teams’ methodologies & providing guidance at the start of their journey
Work closely with business counterparts to create compelling and memorable pitch documents, with persuasive value propositions and effectively developed win strategies.
Manage significant pitch opportunities end to end, including the pre-qualification stage, key issues analysis, strategy formulation, drafting and editing, internal and client debriefs.
Work closely with the Pursuits team’s dedicated graphic design team to achieve exceptional pitch and presentation creative outcomes.
Lead rehearsals and coach the presentation team on engagement, chemistry and flow.
Lead pitch and presentation training for a variety of team across APAC, using the APAC Pursuits team’s strategic framework to improve best practice.
Participate in the firm’s client intelligence, client experience and client development programmes as they evolve.
Produce other sales collateral as required (including copy-writing and graphic design guidance)
Ensure that all client materials produced by the Pursuits team adhere to the JLL brand guidelines (including Tone of Voice).
Performance Objectives
Support the APAC growth strategy and drive revenue growth
Lead on the creation of compelling and winning bids for “must win” opportunities
Connect the teams across the region, sharing best practice, on-boarding, coaching and developing templates
Lead the training and upskilling of the business on Pursuits best practice to increase wins at all deal values.
Key skillsFive to seven years’ experience working in a professional services firm, ideally in a Business Development or strategic writing capacity.
Strong communicator with excellent writing, presentation and collaboration skills, able to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
Strong influencing & coaching skills with a high degree of assertiveness - managing stakeholder expectations in a high-pressure environment.
Excellent project management skills and ability to multitask and prioritise to meet tight deadlines.
Proven ability in understanding, gathering, analysing and interpreting business data required for business development activities.
Strong, goal driven team player who demonstrates the commitment, creativity and initiative to ensure that the job gets done and done well.
