The School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (CCEB), is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Assistant Manager to join our team. This position is critical in supporting the School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (CCEB) in managing all aspects of the school’s office administration and operations.

The incumbent will assist the Senior Administrator of CCEB with the school administration and PA to the Chair of CCEB.

The main responsibilities are:
- PA to the School’s Chair, attending to the scheduling of appointments involving the School Chair’s calendar-
- Coordinate with stakeholders for timely submission of reports to various business units- Assist the School’s Senior Administrator on general office administration and operation of CCEB- Oversee and provide general administrative support to CCEB general offices located at Nanyang Link and Nanyang Drive- Coordinate key meetings in school, including but not limited to School Management Committee Meeting, School Faculty meeting etc. and to undertake minutes taking duties- To liaise with faculty to plan and organize research seminars for the school and colleges, from preparation of the advertisement, advertisement and finance support for honorarium and accommodations- Other event management such as scientific conferences, outreach activities, delegates visits etc.- HR -related administration to assist the Chair, Senior Administrator and HRBP for faculty recruitment, onboarding and exit exercises- To maintain and update the School website- Asset management of the School equipment located at Nanyang Drive and Nanyang Link- Other ad-hoc duties assigned by the School for school’s functions

Key competencies and qualification requirements:
- Minimum degree holder in any related field from a recognized University- Competent in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and MS Teams and calendar scheduling- At least 3-5 years of relevant experience. Prior working experience in the tertiary education sector will be advantageous, though not necessary- Good communication skills, both written and oral- Detailed oriented, meticulous with positive attitude- Resourceful, self-driven, proactive, problem solver, ability to work independently- Good organisational and planning skills- A good team player who works well with various stakeholders- Ability to work well under pressure- Able to adapt to change
