**What the role is**

**What you will be working on**
- The key responsibilities are: - Build a solid understanding of organisational objectives, positioning and key messages so as to better recommend appropriate strategies and timeline for pushing out communications of key programmes, projects and initiatives - Lead and drive the execution of media plans to create high impact brand visibility, and ensure effective delivery of key outcomes - Plan the editorial and publicity calendar through engaging internal stakeholders to develop story ideas, and profile the organisation’s key initiatives. - Develop press materials with compelling narratives (such as press releases, fact sheets, talking points, speech pointers, coverage reports etc.) - Organise media events such as press conferences, briefings, site visits and tours, etc. - Handle and facilitate media requests and queries - Provide communications counsel and guidance to internal stakeholders - Prepare company spokespersons for public speaking engagements and media interviews - Work closely with the Digital and Multimedia team to amplify the reach of media campaigns through creative employment of digital/online content and marketing tools - Lead Media Ops team in emergency exercises and review learning points so as to enhance PUB’s overall readiness in crisis communications management.

**What we are looking for**
- Degree in communications, journalism or a related discipline with minimum 8-10 years of relevant working experience, with at least 5 years of supervisory experience. - Track record of success in delivering high quality comms outcomes in a fast paced and dynamic environment - Good understanding of the media landscape and good rapport with editors/journalists - Good interpersonal skills. Superb ability in influencer communications, including building relationships and pitching stories, driven by a results-focused approach - Ability to build and manage key relationships with a wide range of media contacts including editors and reporters - Digital and social media savvy with professional/client experience - Strong organizational and project management skills - Excellent writing skills along with strong presentation and oral communication skills - Highly motivated and able to deliver under tight deadlines - Work well independently and also a good team player - Excellent analytical and communication skills
