**What the role is**
- Data and evidence-based insights are increasingly key to decision making for public policy formulation and communications strategies. As an Assistant Director / Senior Assistant Director in MCI’s Research and Data Division, you will be leading a team that helps build up research capabilities across Whole-of-Government (WOG). Such capabilities not only give agencies a better understanding of public sentiments towards national issues and policies, they also allow agencies to better use evidence-based approaches to meaningfully shape the policy-making process to impact lives.
**What you will be working on**
- More specifically, you will lead your team to: a. Develop strategies, policies and programmes related to the use of data and technology in research; b. Leverage technology to improve research processes; and c. Identify and manage risks related to WOG research To excel in this role, you will also need to have an objective and evaluative mind to sift through complex considerations from many stakeholders, including those external to MCI, for a better public service outcome in the research context. You will also need to be able to translate technology and data ideas to-and-fro different stakeholders, and adopt a collaborative and problem-solving mindset.
