Position Overview:
As a Tour Guide at our gin distillery, you will play a crucial role in providing an informative and engaging experience for visitors. You will guide guests through our distillery, sharing the history, production process, and unique qualities of our gin. This role requires excellent communication skills (public speaking), a passion for gin, and the ability to deliver a memorable tour while ensuring the safety and enjoyment of our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct Distillery Tours:

- Lead guided tours of the distillery, providing visitors with an entertaining and educational experience.
- Share the history, heritage, and key production techniques of our gin, highlighting its unique characteristics.
- Explain the distillation process, ingredients, and botanicals used, emphasizing the craftsmanship and quality of our products.
- Engage visitors with stories, anecdotes, and interesting facts about gin, the distillery, and its surroundings.

2. Guest Engagement and Customer Service:

- Greet and welcome visitors, ensuring a friendly and professional atmosphere.
- Establish a rapport with guests, creating a positive and memorable experience.
- Tailor the tour experience to the interests and preferences of the group, adapting the presentation style accordingly.
- Provide exceptional customer service, assisting visitors with inquiries, recommendations, and purchases.
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment, catering to diverse groups of visitors.

3. Safety and Compliance:

- Ensure the safety of guests during tours, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Monitor and manage group sizes, maintaining control and ensuring a smooth flow of the tour.

4. Product Knowledge and Promotion:

- Stay updated on the latest gin industry trends, distillery news, and product offerings.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of our gin portfolio, including flavor profiles and serving suggestions.
- Promote and upsell our products, offering tasting samples and informing visitors about purchasing opportunities.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to provide feedback on visitor preferences and insights for product development.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and captivate an audience.
- Strong knowledge and passion for gin, spirits, or the beverage industry.
- Outgoing and friendly personality, with exceptional customer service skills.
- Ability to adapt tour content and delivery to different audience demographics and interests.
- Confidence in public speaking and addressing groups of varying sizes.
- Professional and polished demeanor, with the ability to represent the distillery brand effectively.
- Familiarity with distillery operations and the gin production process (training can be provided).
- Knowledge of local history, landmarks, and attractions is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate visitor demand.
