Singapore THE SR GROUP (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. Full time

We are looking for a Corporate Counsel to join our International Legal Team in Singapore. As a Corporate Counsel in the International Legal Team, you will report to the Director Legal, International and provide advice, support and counsel to the commercial and cross functional teams to ensure the business consistently operates within and complies with all applicable laws, mitigates risks and launches new products and markets in an ethical and legally compliant way.

**Responsibilities
You will:

- Develop and maintain an expert level of knowledge on the International Business Unit vision, products, services, infrastructure, operations, markets, competitors and regulators in order to deliver commercially useful legal and compliance insight.
- assist with the management of international distributors, including reviewing, drafting and negotiating distribution agreements.
- assist with the management of international subsidiary entities, including coordinating subsidiary board and shareholder meetings.
- work and collaborate in an international cross border matrix environment with internal functional teams including marketing, clinical training, finance, regulatory, quality, etc to review, draft, negotiate and implement a wide range of commercial agreements.
- provide international cross border legal advisory support to sales and commercial teams, including communicating legal concepts and risks clearly to aid in their development of business strategies.
- improve our standard form agreements, templates and legal processes for consistency across the international businesses but with local relevancy.
- where required, work with external legal counsel and manage external legal spend.

**FUNCTIONAL EXPERTISE**
- Experience in advising clients from the medical device industry preferred.
- Previous experience in working across legal jurisdictions and managing internal and external requirements across different time zones.
- Ability to thrive in a generalist role with the mental agility and resourcefulness to advise across a variety of legal issues.

Legal Experience:

- Ability to independently do corporate/commercial drafting.
- Experience managing vendors/third parties.
- Experience in reviewing contracts independently.
- Experience working independently partnering business stakeholders.

- Work with a sense of urgency.
- Can communicates in a clear, concise style with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a generalist role with the mental agility and resourcefulness to advise across a variety of legal issues.

**Qualifications**
- Common-law qualified lawyer with at least 8-10+ years’ experience, having worked at a top tier law firm and/or as an in-house counsel in a multinational organization.
- Solid experience working in or with APAC countries.
- Significant and recent healthcare experience, particularly in the field of medical devices, is preferred.
