Job Summary of Chief of Operation

Reporting to General Manger, accountable for leading the strategic direction on achievement of operational excellence and EBITDA targets for the company in global trade.

Lead a team of operations and functional managers to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the business across a range of key parameters including service delivery, cost and productivity.

Oversees ship operations, as well as the safe and efficient operations of ships while ensuring operational costs are kept to a minimum. Establishes systems and practices to encourage workflow improvements to enhance the business unit's productivity.

Able to manage emergencies and has excellent interpersonal and communication skill

Responsibilities and Duties
- Oversee tanker fleet operations as well as safe and efficient operations of ships while ensuring operational costs are kept to a minimum
- Supervise post-fixture team and training junior operator
- Partner and coordinate with fleet technical manager to enable overall improvement on the operating activities as well as revenue generation.
- Investigates and resolves shipping quality issues, damages, or lost freight claims and other disputes.
- Plan, organize, and directly control the stowage and marine functions to ensure the operational capacity of the fleet meets the performance requirement set by the Business Unit, while running the network in the most cost effective and efficient manner.
- Lead key projects, providing project plan and practical solutions to complex operational problems.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor degree from majors of Shipping or Logistic, Maritime
- At least 15 years’ experience in large tanker company required, dealing with various sections of tanker commercial operation. And at least 5 years in senior managerial position, exposure in the cost excellence and digitalization implementation project is preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of maritime Law and international shipping regulation, acquainted with carriage of goods by sea and charter party.
- Excellent leadership in leading the team to optimize business value and engage with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Outstanding communication skill on top-level relationships and in different cultural and business environments.
- Solid persuasion and commercial negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain strategic relationships.
- Good team management and people engagement skills.
- Fluency in both Chinese and English.
