Be a key part of shaping the future of our food supply by being on the front line of innovation here at Taste, Texture and Health business unit at dsm-firmenich. If you have a food or related technical qualification and are looking for a mid-level technical position that offers variety without limiting future specialisation, this heavily hands-on role based in Singapore will offer you plenty of scope to further develop your interests in general food product design and processing, innovation management and virtually all aspects of food technology now and beyond.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Be the internal expert in current food processing technology (e.g. encapsulation, bioreaction/ fermentation, drying, extrusion, etc.) and operate equipment to prove and challenge the possibilities of what can be achieved
- Plan and manage innovation projects vital to the organisation’s strategic focus
- Engage stakeholders across all levels to understand innovation needs and actively participate in global and regional innovation programmes
- Be an advocate both internally and externally for new technologies and new ways of doing things

**You bring**:

- Bachelor’s degree in food technology or engineering or related discipline
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in either pilot plant operation and/or exposure to a food manufacturing environment
- At least a passing familiarity with the concept of design sprints or rapid prototyping
- Highly comfortable with regular operation of pilot-scale food processing machinery (training will be provided) with occasional lifting
- Excited by the prospect of being able to improve yourself and the environment around you
