Finance Director, Asia Pacific

**PRIMARY FUNCTION/JOB SUMMARY**

The Finance Director play a critical role for the Asia Pacific business, working as a member of the Asia Pacific Leadership Team to partner cross-functionally with other leaders and departments as appropriate, meet business and financial objectives, and support accelerating APAC growth. This role is directly leading the corporate finance, general ledger team, market finance managers and pricing teams, but is instrumental in dotted-line management of all other Asia finance functions. This individual will partner closely with the market finance leaders, be responsible for consolidated regional financial results, and oversee pricing with the Asia Pacific President. Meanwhile, this role is a partner to all functional leaders, our corporate and global finance colleagues.

This role serves in many capacities including, but not limited to, the regional annual planning, financial forecasting and monthly financial close and reporting processes, and support of strategic initiatives of the consolidated Asia Pacific region. This individual provides financial expertise/business consulting services and works on a wide variety of projects to meet overall profit/business plans for the region. Responsibilities also include improvement of systems/process and enhancement of internal control systems. In addition, this role works across other disciplines in the organization including tax, legal, operational finance, and business strategy to facilitate meeting and/or exceeding business plan objectives. Responsible for the analysis and interpretation of the financial data and communicating this information to various constituents.

**MAJOR DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES**

**1. **Corporate Finance**
- Oversee the preparation, coordination and consolidation of monthly financials and reporting for Asia Pacific region; and supporting analysis
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasting process and supporting analysis
- Oversee preparation of Global and Corporate financial information requests and certification process
- Responsible for opex and capital expenditure authorization, forecasting and reporting
- Providing deeper insights, supporting operational resiliency.

**2. **FP&A**
- Participate and support in the execution of annual strategic priorities and initiatives
- Lead the annual planning process inclusive of preparation of deliverables, coordination and consolidation of regional financial plan for all of Asia Pacific
- Support Finance VP on any ad-hoc basis (projects, FP&A work, analysis, issue resolution)
- Teach and lead a fitness mentality and activities (reduce OPEX in a less value-added area in order to invest in a strategic priority)
- Work closely with the FP&A team in NA on regional and select global projects

**3. **Business Partner support**
- Responsible for the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen internal controls and drive process and reporting efficiencies
- Continuous improvement of financial systems
- Support functional and regional business leaders in managing OPEX spending, meeting budgets, timely communication, accuracy of information provided, identification and resolution of issues, and satisfaction of business partner (i.e. GCC, HR, IT, Finance & Marketing)

**4. **Organizational Development & Managing People**
- Provide direction for employees through setting annual objectives and providing continuous feedback and impact coaching
- Support and develop skills of team members
- Manage change both organizationally and strategically
- Act as a mentor/coach
- Develop Asia Finance Organization giving the managers and team leaders increased responsibility, accountability, and empowerment
- Develop succession planning for top 3-4 roles in Finance teams
- To teach and lead a SCS culture in line with our values to the broader Asia Pacific teams, not just Finance

- MBA, CA, CPA, CMA, or other evidence of technical competence preferred
- Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in accounting and finance management
