DESIGNATION : Nurse Clinician (Informatics)

RESPONSIBILITIES

The jobholder is Responsible for the evaluation, coordination, implementation and maintenance of designated projects and systems, which enhances the organizational function of Nursing Services and promotes efficiency in nursing practices and safe resident care.
- Spearhead the development of a Nursing Information Management System tailored to the resident's journey in nursing home settings
- Assist and lead the formulation of clinical workflows and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) incorporating best practices, acting as a mentor to the growing team
- Lead clinical staff across the nursing home system in the specialty area of nursing informatics.
- Attend IT and workgroup meetings, reporting project statuses to nursing management, project managers, and staff as needed
- Provide regular status reports, report hardware/software/password issues to the IT team, and update end-users on the status following the established escalation process.
- Develop and revise informatics policies and procedures based on system design, workflow, and end-user input
- Collaborate with the in-house training department for initial and ongoing training and competency validation for clinical information systems
- Serve as a resource for daily operational issues, document current processes, analyze, recommend, and assist in implementing new and improved workflows, and perform post-implementation monitoring for system usage and user acceptance

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor Science Degree in Nursing with valid RN license
- Degree in Nursing Information technology or Health Sciences would be an added advantage
- Minimum of 5 years of direct acute care/clinical experiences
- Demonstrate interest in Healthcare Information Technology
- Had experience with the selection or implementation of healthcare information systems
- Knowledge in IT system design and development., ACLS, NRP, PALS, etc.) per hospital policy

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor Science Degree in Nursing with valid RN license
- Degree in Nursing Information technology or Health Sciences would be an added advantage
