Responsibilities Provide independent clinical assessment of patients and formulate individualized care plans within the scope of practice of a Registered Nurse and in consultation with the multi‐disciplinary team, referring appropriately for internal or external services as necessary Provide guidance to junior nurses on management of patients with complex care needs Provide after‐hours phone call advice to patients and their caregivers on a scheduled shift‐work basis Competency Development and Training Expert resource and mentor Act as an expert resource for nurses and mentor colleagues to aid them in the advancement of nursing practice in providing home‐based health care and palliative care in MWS services. Orientation / induction programmes and preceptorship Develop and provide orientation / induction programmes and preceptorship for new staff Regular training and competency measurement Develop and coordinate regular training for nurses and ensuring regular competency measurement for nurses Supervision / Manpower Resourcing Leadership and supervision Supervise assistant nurse clinicians/managers and junior nurses in carrying out their responsibilities Coverage and operational needs Ensuring adequate coverage for daily operational needs Well‐being initiatives Lead and implement strategies and initiatives to promote well‐being of nurses Quality Improvement Internal audit frameworks Develop internal clinical audit frameworks and conduct audits to ensure compliance with nursing standards Quality improvement initiatives Lead quality improvement initiatives Policy review and implementation Assist HOC/Senior Nurse Manager in reviewing and implementing relevant nursing policies and procedures Qualifications Registered with Singapore Nursing Board Degree in Nursing and/or Specialist/Adv Dip in Palliative Care, Gerontology or equivalent Any other tasks that may arise as part of MWS service requirements. #J-18808-Ljbffr
