**Job summary**

1. To work as part of a R&D/QA/QC team.

**Area of responsibilities (R&D)**

1. Assist R&D in research and product development including pilot run of new formulations.

2. Assist in production trial run of new product from compounding, mixing and quality control of the finished product.

3. Assist in product registration and keep track of the registration status.

4. Assist in preparation of technical documents needed by Sales and Marketing (Product specifications, Certificate of Analysis and Safety Data Sheets),

5. Assist in preparation of sample products to be sent out for External laboratory testing. Handle the courier process of the products and file the test reports once received.

6. Handle Tender and customer samples requested by Sales. This includes coordination and arranging schedule with Production Manager to produce samples.

7. Request samples of chemical and fragrance from suppliers and record the incoming samples and documents upon received.

8. Handle chemical inventory, forecast and ordering of chemicals for production use.

9. Ensure that good housekeeping is maintained in the R&D laboratory areas including washing of glassware and reagent bottles.

10. Other ad hoc tasks assigned.

**Area of responsibilities (QC)**

1. Assist Senior QA/ QC Officer in inspection of wet towel during in-process and finished products.

2. Inspection of imported finished products samples from Freshening Overseas. Example - Freshening China, Freshening Indonesia.

3. Assist in Calibrate equipment for In-house verification (weekly calibration for some equipment). Example - pH meter, weighing scale.

4. Assist in inspection of raw materials before or during production run. Example - Incoming paper, wrappers, and packaging materials.

5. Assist in attaching appropriate tags (HOLD, REJECTED, APPROVED) on the material/product. It is also his/her responsibility that stocks are properly segregated, and that no admixture happens.

6. Ensures all Batch records (QC and Production sheets and Mixing records) are checked and accomplished on time.

7. Counter check chemicals measured by Mixer Operator for compounding. Sign mixing room record once conformed. Check the solution for smell, pH, SG and Viscosity (if applicable).

8. Assist in ISO audits and preparation.

9. Any other area of responsibilities that the company deems necessary.

**Competency requirements**

1. Able to communicate in English and Mandarin to communicate with Operators.
