With the expansion of the business in Asia Pacific regional office in Singapore, the organization is seeking to recruit a **R&D Technologist **to support the industrial operations. **R&D TECHNOLOGIST**:

- Reporting to the Industrial Operations Manager, the R&D Technologist will support the organization’s operations at the production site.
- He or she will play a key role in supporting the development of innovative products and technologies by conducting research, performing lab & pilot experiments, and assisting in various stages of the product development process.
- He or She will collaborate on the installation of new equipment and the improvement of the existing equipment.
- This role requires a strong technical background, a passion for innovation, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- In addition, the R&D Technologist will also interface with our partners, vendors and the organization corporate office.

**MAIN TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**_Overview of Activities _**:

- Conduct research, lab & pilot experiments, & analytical tests to support the development of new products, process & technologies.
- Collect and analyze data to draw meaningful conclusions and insights.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation.
- Perform analysis control of the products based on trials.
- Ensure the equipment maintenance of the laboratory & inventory & collaboration on new lab equipment.
- Observe and follow the safety procedures (PPE, MSDS etc.) in the manufacturing plant.

**_1) Industrial Scale-up to Commercialization _**:

- Managed the laboratory/pilot trials to assist in the industrial scale-up for new & existing products.
- Train the staffs involved for the new manufacturing processes & new industrial transfer.
- Prioritize the transfer of new products from Headquarters to Singapore and validate the transfer.
- Analyze and keep track of lab & pilot stability samples.
- Ensure that R&D activities meet quality standards requirements.

**_2) Process Improvement _**:

- Coordinate with Production Engineer & relevant parties to conduct laboratory/pilot trials to minimize industrial production downtime, achieve higher quality products and reduce costs.
- Ensure continuous process improvements (products, process, analysis, organization) via research & development.

**_3) Maintenance and Installation of Laboratory Equipment _**:

- Participate in quality control and qualification processes as needed.
- Perform detailed studies of new lab equipment and/or technology.
- Support the installation, validate the equipment, and create the procedures to run the lab equipment.
- Provide support on the transfer of new analytical methods.
- Train the staffs (Quality Team & Production) involved.

**_4) Raw Materials _**:

- Manage raw materials (sourcing) & approval of new raw materials.
- Build Free Trade Agreement for Singapore made goods.

**_5) Technical Interface _**:

- Participate in non-conformity issues by finding technical solutions.
- Facilitate communication with colleagues from various departments to support cross-functional projects and initiatives.

**CANDIDATE PROFILE**:

- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or any equivalent.
- High proficiency in laboratory equipment such as Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (NIR), Gas Chromatography-Flame Ionization detector (GC-FID), HPLC, Coulometric Karl Fischer Titrator, Dropping Point etc.
- Interest in Research & Development
- Willing to work in Jurong Island
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Words, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
- Possess good communication & follow-up skills, good time management, organizational skills.
- Detailed oriented individual that can take initiatives and adjust priorities.
- Willing to learn new procedures with the right mindset.
- Independent
- Minimum **2 years **of technical experience in R&D (Oleo-chemistry), pharmaceuticals or cosmetic
