**ABOUT THE ROLE**

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Perform upstream process development/optimisation experiments through Design of Experiment
- Execute routine cell culture handlings for various CHO cell types and maintaining upstream analytical instruments such as NOVA Flex, Cedex Bio Analyzer, BGA, Octet or VCD/Viability Analyzer
- Conduct data analysis, interpret data and accurately document and communicate results
- Operate 50 L to 250 L CHO upstream Fed-Batch processes in single-use bioreactors (Thermo Fisher Hyclones)
- Conduct filter sizing study and operate depth filtration at 50 L - 250 L scale with Millistak pod system
- Support platform development including effective clone selection, high-throughput/time efficient process development from 5 L to 50 L, cutting-edge cell cultivation processes
- Identify issues, detect route to resolutions, for a study
- Organize internal data archiving, inventory keeping
- Author protocol, study reports and documents for technical transfer and regulatory filings
- Liaise with external and internal stakeholders as necessary to execute projects
- Able to adapt to a fast-paced work environment and perform under pressure
- Essential training will be provided

**ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor of Science with 3-year relevant experience
- Master of Science with 1-year relevant experience
- Experienced with various CHO expression system, small to pilot scale bioreactor operations, fed-batch and perfusions
- Strong understanding in differences between RnD and manufacturing
- Basic understanding of biologics manufacturing, process development, scale-up, depth filtrations and single-use technologies
- Process validation experience is preferred
