Overview:
The Operations Director is accountable to fulfilling our customers’ sales orders and meeting the requirements in term of product quality & quantity, service standards and doing that at the most efficient cost. The incumbent carries the overall responsibility of entire supply chain management of the company. This would involve production and distribution of products, responsible for the procurement of raw materials and other supplies and responsible for the scale-up of processes for production of new products as well as process engineering on existing and new products. The position has the responsibility to hire, train and coach employees of the Operations Department.

As a member of the Leadership team, the incumbent is expected to be jointly responsible for providing business leadership, strategic directions and be accountable for the overall business KPIs of the company. To do that, the incumbent should work closely as a team member of the Leadership team to jointly manage and lead the company towards achievement of the overall company’s shared goals.

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible to ensure the asset / production / sourcing strategy matches the marketing ambitions for rolling 5 year period and beyond.
- The Director of Operations is responsible for the entire Supply Chain Management of the company. His/her primary objective is to lead the Operations Department to meet the product quality, cost of goods sold and customer service requirements of the company and its customers.
- The incumbent is overall responsible for fulfilling customers’ need and customers satisfaction.
- Continuous investment for lifetime maintenance and extension of existing facilities
- Proactively suggest / implement process efficiency improvements
- Maintains control and overview of all project initiatives on the site.
- The incumbent is responsible for the preparation and management of the annual departmental expense and capital budget.
- The incumbent is responsible for planning and managing products supply chain that delivers excellence in terms of quality, service and cost.
- The incumbent is also responsible for the overall safety, security, infrastructure management and facilities maintenance of the entire campus.
- Being a good corporate citizen, the incumbent needs to incorporate sustainability and safety into the entire supply chain.
- The position requires excellent leadership attributes, strong communicator, good interpersonal relation and management skills.
- Is part of the local organisation and management team, with a direct report to the Group President.
- Collaborate with HR to create and implement succession planning for managers and key personnel.
- Generate and use business analytics to monitor trends and facilitate making strategic decisions
- This position will be based in Singapore and will require regional and international travel although it will not be on frequent basis.

Qualifications:

- The Operations Director requires of minimum of a Bachelors’ Degree in manufacturing or engineering or related fields.
- Possesses strong servant leadership attributes with good business leadership acumen. Possesses no less than 5 years of experience in functional leadership capacity.
- Possesses a minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment of which some experience in Chemical/ food/ biotechnology/ pharmaceutical or related industry would be required.
- Experience with Food GMP, ISO manufacturing standards is desired.
