**OBJECTIVES**

To assist the Manager/Operator in the complete retail operations of the scoop shop, including the planning, operations, and marketing of this location.

To work with the team to ensure that the implementation of all systems fully support and comply with all operating systems.

**PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES**

1. Assist the Manager/Operator in the hiring and orientation of staff. Conduct in-store training and performance evaluation for all Shift Leaders and ICEO, with an added emphasis on ergonomics and safety for scooping and other work functions.

2. Direct day-to-day operations including store and staff appearance, customer service, cleanliness, compliance with all safety and operating standards, merchandising and production and inventory levels of all paper products, stored and tempered ice cream, waffle cones, novelties, and baked goods.

3. Ensure customer satisfaction, by role modeling the practices of friendly, timely service and proper product handling.

4. Coordinate the store opening and closing activities.

5. Assist the Manager/Operator in the daily tracking of the store scooping performance and ensure that the scooping percentage is within the suggested operating standards.

6. Maintain the systems established by the Manager/Operator that will ensure the accuracy of all register, cash transactions, and daily sales and deposit summary reports.

7. Accountable for daily financial reporting requirements established by the Manager/Operator.

8. Assist the Manager/operator in the storage, and logging of all inventories. Ensure that all

invoices are crosschecked with packing slips, bringing any discrepancies to the Manager/Operator’s attention.

9. Assist the Manager/Operator in the implementation of the marketing plan with an emphasis on in-store marketing.

10. Assist the Manager/Operator in meeting the performance goals of the store.

11. Participate in store planning and development meetings with the Manager/Operator, Shift Leaders and ICEO, and attend other meetings and activities when appropriate.

12. Execute Ben and Jerry’s scoop shop social mission programs.

13. Be part of Community Action Team (CAT) to drive social activities at least quarterly.

14. Build and maintain strong and mutually beneficial relationships with the local community, supporting community incentives where possible.

**REQUIREMENT**
- Degree in business administration or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years’ experience in retail store management in a fast-paced high-volume environment
- P&L responsibility including inventory management
- Strong people management and supervisory skills and experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, English strongly recommended
- Highly organized, energetic, team-oriented individual with a positive “can-do” attitude and a strong commitment to outstanding customer service
- Individual must be willing to work nights, weekends, extended hours and holidays.
