Singapore HSA Health Sciences Authority Full time

The purpose of this position is to lead the Group with the administrative support needed, with the objective of serving as the main coordinator between the professional group and the corporate function within the corporate guidelines and requirements.

**_Operations Management _**
- Main lead in addressing the operational needs of the assigned professional group which includes strategic planning, informatics/business intelligence, business continuity planning, research development and coordinating the annual audit exercise.
- Supervising the administrative support for the operations of the Group Director’s Office and laboratories
- Monitor group's performance in terms of both turnaround time (TAT) performance results and key performance indicators
- Key liaison for the successful engagement of clients of the assigned professional group
- Key liaison for provision of data to the Corporate services for reporting

**_Project / Committee Participation _**
- Member of the IT project committee and provide inputs on the functions needed by the labs in Applied Sciences Group
- Ensure laboratories are operating in accordance with the guidelines set by the accrediting body and that staff are operating in a safe environment.
- Conduct audit on the laboratories which includes at least 1 safety audit and 1 quality audit per calendar year
- Key liaison between the group and building planners for the new building and be involved in the planning and layout of the laboratories
- Implement and maintain a suitable information management system for the laboratories

**_Events Management _**
- Event Coordination and Management of all events for the assigned professional group which includes:

- Teambuilding events to build cohesion amongst the staff of the assigned professional group
- Scientific seminars/conferences - work with scientific/equipment vendors to bring in guest speakers to conduct internal scientific seminars for staff to be updated with the latest scientific developments.

**Requirements**:

- Background in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Life Sciences with a minimum of 3 years relevant laboratory experience
- At least 3 years in a leadership role and able to lead a team effectively
- Possess good knowledge of laboratory's operations and/or Laboratory Information Management Systems
- Meticulous, good with numbers and able to multitask
- IT and new media savvy, knowledge of communication practices and techniques preferred
- An effective communicator who is able to work well with both internal and external stakeholders of all levels.
