**Job Objective**:
Coordinates and monitors the fleet's safe and efficient operation in accordance with the highest global standards of international ship management, relevant legislation and quality standards. This includes impeccable control and management of the PMS, repair and maintenance activities, management of vessel inspections/audits, dockings, major projects and sustainable commercial viability of the fleet vessels. Coordinate the various functional aspects of the team configuration like technical management, marine Superintendents, purchasing teams and the right level of leadership to ensure that the fleet team members are trained, coached and mentored as required to evolve a strong cohesive team. Keep abreast of all latest developments in the company and industry and take a proactive approach towards the BSM Value added service departments. Engage actively with

the owners’ representatives to understand their short and long-term requirements and ensure compliance. Ensure OHSE, Energy and Environmental compliance policies are upheld.

**Key Accountabilities**:
1. Promotes and supports BSM's strategic goals.

2. Meets with customers and prospective clients and supports the development of contracts for the delivery of high-quality services.

3. Monitors the safe and efficient operation of the fleet.

4. Monitors the assigned vessels’ budget as per the procedures.

5. Ensures compliance with BSM procurement standards.

6. Analyses performance data and ensures issues are escalated timely.

7. Handles and controls the accurate execution of programmed and ad-hoc vessel visits and inspections by superintendents.

8. Liaises with LPSQ to ensure that company procedures are implemented and maintained onboard and ashore.

9. Leads, coaches, engages, motivates, and mentors employees to develop their strengths and build their capabilities as per their defined roles and personal goal.

10. Ensures the crewing standards are fulfilled onboard.

**Requirements**:
**Education & Qualifications**
- **B.S. degree in Nautical Science, Mechanical, Electrical or Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture or equivalent, or**:

- **Chief Engineer’s or Master’s qualification**

**Work Experience**:

- 3 years as a Technical, Marine or LPSQ Superintendent on the relevant Oil/Gas tanker or dry cargo/container vessels, or
- 5 years of relevant work experience within a ship management/owning company

**Job-Specific Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of vessels’ technical requirements and voyage regulations
- Excellent project management skills

- Good Multitasking and Organisational Skills
- Fluency in English
- PC literacy
