Job Summary

The Bar Manager will oversee the bar’s daily operations, including opening and closing the bar, stocking supplies, ordering inventory, managing staff, handling customer inquiries and complaints, and enforcing safety and security protocols. The Bar Manager will also be responsible for creating promotional campaigns to drive business to the bar and developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers. In addition, the Bar Manager will be responsible for creating and enforcing policies and procedures to ensure that the bar runs smoothly and efficiently.

**Responsibilities**:
Oversee the daily operations of the bar, including opening and closing the bar, stocking supplies, ordering inventory, managing staff, handling customer inquiries and complaints, and enforcing safety and security protocols.

1. Create promotional campaigns to drive business to the bar.

2. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers.

3. Create and enforce policies and procedures to ensure the bar runs smoothly and efficiently.

4. Perform other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:
l Previous experience in the industry is preferred.

Required Education and Experience

A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Previous experience in the industry is preferred.

Opening and Closing the Bar:
l Verify that the bar is locked up and all lights are turned off when leaving.

l Set up the bar for opening, including stocking supplies and turning on lights.

l Perform a security check to ensure that all doors and windows are secure.

l Greet customers as they come in and seat them at their desired table or booth.

l Take orders and serve drinks to customers.

l Keep track of inventory and order supplies as needed.

l Closeout customer tabs and process payments.

l Clean the bar area, including wiping surfaces, sweeping floors, and taking out the trash.

l Lock up the bar and turn off all lights when closing for the night.

Stocking Supplies:
l Check the stock room to see what supplies need to be restocked.

l Order supplies from suppliers as needed.

l Unpack and store new supplies in the stock room.

l Keep track of inventory levels and order more supplies when necessary.

Ordering Inventory:
l Verify that all products are in stock and that there is enough to meet customer demand.

l Place orders with suppliers as needed.

l Track inventory levels and reorder supplies as necessary.

Managing Staff:
l Schedule staff shifts and assign tasks for each shift.

l Train new staff members on bar procedures and protocols.

l Monitor staff performance and provide feedback as needed.

l Handle customer complaints and address any issues that may arise.

l Enforce safety and security protocols.

l Handling Customer Inquiries and Complaints:
l Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

l Address customer complaints and take appropriate action to resolve the issue.

l Follow up with customers after resolving their issues to ensure they are satisfied.

Enforcing Safety and Security Protocols:
l Ensure that all staff members are following safety and security protocols.Investigate any

l Report any safety or security concerns to the proper authorities.

Creating Promotional Campaigns:
l Brainstorm ideas for promotional campaigns that will drive business to the bar.

l Create marketing materials for approved campaigns.

l Implement campaigns and track their effectiveness.

l Developing and Maintaining Relationships with Suppliers:
l Research new suppliers and place orders with them as needed.

l Negotiate terms with suppliers to get the best prices for products.

l Develop relationships with key suppliers to ensure a steady supply of products.

Creating and Enforcing Policies and Procedures:
l Develop policies and procedures to ensure that the bar is running smoothly.
