Deputy Director, Social Policy

Singapore NATIONAL TRADES UNION CONGRESS Full time

Reporting to the Director, Social Policy, the incumbent will lead policy teams in the formulation of social and workplace policies that impact workers.
- Identify, formulate and review NTUC’s policy positions, design and execute the supporting research plans and strategies, and help to guide NTUC’s advocacy and implementation efforts in line with NTUC’s overall strategic outcomes, with particular focus on the following areas:
a) Workplace and union policies

b) Specific policies to advance the interests of the following groups of workers, amongst others:
i. Older Workers

ii. Self-employed

iii. Women & Family

iv. Migrant Workers

v. Future Workforce

c) NTUC’s membership, welfare and union management policies to adapt to evolving workforce

d) Workplace safety and health policies
- Lead staffing support for NTUC representatives at major policy platforms such as Tripartite Committees and Workgroups
- Shape or conduct studies to deepen understanding of worker issues and gain insights on effectiveness of NTUC's initiatives and strategies

**Requirements**:

- A self-starter with a keen interest to conduct policy review and data analysis
- Good analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
- Able to engage multiple stakeholders, with good interpersonal skills
- Leadership Skills, with experience in managing people/teams through tight deadlines
