About the Team
The Travel Security team is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of ByteDance employees around the world while they are traveling for the company. This includes maintaining a global risk rating system, travel authorizations, pre-travel information and briefings, security training, managing relationships with 3rd party vendors, and working with international travel insurance providers.

**Responsibilities**:

- You will support the management of international travel security, risk identification and incident management, while promoting a robust and positive security culture across the company.
- You will support travel operations in high risk environments, risk mitigation projects, and policies & procedure creation in order to deliver excellent results and respond to urgent matters in a timely manner.
- Provide support for travel safety and security program management.
- Track global events that could, directly or indirectly, impact ByteDance and its assets, sharing commentary, analysis and data.
- Assist in creating and maintaining a library of travel security risk assessments and response plans to ensure traveler safety.
- Conduct data entry and analysis, in partnership with internal stakeholders, to allow for well-informed decision making by leadership.
- Provide risk reduction advice and guidance, collaborating with specialist partners to inform business decisions.
- Participate actively in travel incident response, providing necessary administrative and operational support.
- Assist in managing relationships with security and travel vendors, ensuring adherence to Service Level Agreements.
- Monitor global travel activities and assist in preparing travel security reports.
- Ensure requests for assistance are managed in a timely and effective manner, serving as a first point of contact for employees travelling to high risk destinations.
- Maintain travel security documentation and assist in conducting training and information sharing sessions.
- Contribute content to travel security interactive learning and other channels related to travel security.
- Support regional Crisis Management Team Coordinators in documentation and crisis response activities.
- Identify potential areas for program improvement and report these to management.
- Provide support for other relevant Physical Security projects or objectives as needed.
- Bachelor degree in a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in a travel security or risk analysis management role, either in-house or contracted.
- Global situational awareness and a strong understanding of, or keen interest in, geopolitics, international security, and current affairs.
- Proficiency in data entry analysis and managing large databases is a plus.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and sound judgement when dealing with complex and sensitive situations.
- Excellent verbal and written ability with strong stakeholder management skills, including English language skills.
- This is a position that demands discretion and professionalism at all times; must be capable of handling highly confidential and sensitive information.
