**What you will be working on**
- Work with HTX, to develop, enhance and maintain systems that cater to the operational capabilities and readiness of HCCC, in direct support of the Homefront Crisis Management System (HCMS) during peacetime crisis and National Emergency System (NEST) during National Emergency (NE).
Work with Home Team Depts (HTDs) and relevant Homefront Agencies (HFAs) to assess operational inputs on MHA’s ICT systems as part of the overall assessment to determine their criticality, as well as the importance of WOG ICT systems in supporting peacetime crisis and NE.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Engage discussions with WOG Ops and Tech staff (led by HCCC, supported by HTX and DSTA) to assess and provide operational inputs to develop, enhance and maintain systems that support the operational capabilities and readiness of HCCC to support peacetime crisis and NE.
- Work with HTX to design and develop ICT solutions to enable seamless exchange of operational information from peacetime to NE. This includes staffing of the HTX-JOG Meeting co-chaired by SD/JOG and DCE(D)/HTX on discussions on capability development projects, as well as the WOG CIMS Workgroup Meeting co-chaired by SD/JOG, DCE(D)/HTX and Dir SECC/DSTA.
- Ensure training is provided for HCCC Ops Teams who use the MHA CIMS, as well as for WOG staff who use the NESTCOM system.
- Monitor service contracts/subscription services and ensure timely renewal of service contracts/extension of services/enter into new contracts. Ensure the scheduled timelines for systems projects are met.
**What we are looking for**
- The job holder has to proactively identify what is needed for HCCC, MHA and the WOG to effectively manage major incidents and crisis.
- The job holder has to adopt a WOG lens when assessing and recommending to Dir and DD HCCC the development of ICT systems to meet operational capabilities that ensure collaboration and coordination from the WOG’s perspective and enhance national preparedness in dealing with safety and security issues.
- The job holder needs to work closely with staffers from the HTDs and HFAs on capability development projects which directly supports the HCMS and NEST. This would include achieving the agencies’ buy-in to adopt a common IT architecture or to link their ICT systems with it so as to allow WOG collaboration and coordination during a crisis and developing the necessary capabilities to enhance national preparedness against new safety and security threats.
