**Department Description**

The Distribution Data Excellence team is designed to act as a central knowledge point for the Distribution business data needs and adoption of the data quality & governance aspect as part of all our processes whether it is business or technology. Data management is a value-stream that looks at all the touch points, ensure that data quality framework is adopted throughout, and we continuously evolve our framework and practices to ensure that the quality of the data is measured and enhanced on on-going basis. The team looks to build strong partnerships with Client Service and other Distribution teams across the globe.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Primary Accountabilities**:

- Promote data accuracy and adherence to Fidelity’s defined global governance practices, as well as driving acceptance of Fidelity’s enterprise level data strategy across all business channels in Distribution.
- Maintain and advise relevant stakeholders on data governance-related matters in specific domain (Client) with a focus on the business use of the data.
- Accountable for ensuring that data-centric activities are aligned with the ISS Data program, Central Data Governance & Data Quality team and leverage applicable data standards, governance processes, and overall best practices.
- Coordinate across the Client Domain with Data Owners & Data Stewards to maintain consistency of Fidelity’s critical client data.
- Contribute to various projects and initiatives to ensure that any data related changes and dependencies are identified, communicated, and managed to ensure adherence with the Enterprise Data Strategy.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders internally (i.e., business leaders, IT, ongoing initiatives, etc.) to define a clear, synchronized roadmap for enterprise data technologies.

**Data Governance & Data Quality**
- Establish and run a Distribution wide data governance framework, with a focus on the improvement of data quality, tracking of data ownership, and the protection of sensitive data.
- Develop and maintain maps (data lineage) of Critical Data Elements, including the data owners on Metadata tools like Collibra.
- Taking the lead on the population and maintenance of the FIL Data Taxonomy, including training, and supporting Data Owners & Stewards.
- Adoption of Datahub for resolving data issues by facilitating discussions across appropriate business units.
- Assist in improving the Data Quality through engagement with Data Governance committees to define, build and monitor data quality rules on Critical Data Elements as set by Data Owners and Stewards.
- Reviewing current data quality scores and working to coordinate and implement remediation plans.
- Coordinate in educate and train data owners/stewards on enterprise data capabilities, workflow, and approval process to certify master data sets.

**CRM (Salesforce) Strategy Adoption & Client Data Management**
- Implement the CRM Salesforce vision and establishing definitions of client, client hierarchy structure and relationship between legal & sales entities.
- Develop data governance within Salesforce to ensure the accuracy and quality of data through all upstream and downstream systems.
- Coordinate the resolution of data gaps or issues by working with the business users and Information Technology department.
- Responsible for designing impactful and interactive dashboards in Salesforce to highlight data issues and empower data users to take decision.
- Leverage business knowledge and expertise to drive business process improvements.
