Head of Operations

**The Position**

**Areas of responsibility mainly include**:
1. Tasks related to the management of existing vineyard projects and wine distribution companies:

- Managing the portfolio of existing vineyard projects from a, relationship, operational, financial, legal, tax, and accounting perspective: obtaining required information and documents from producer partners and participating Members of Le Club FICOFI, supervising wine bottle shipments and stock movements, reviewing financial accounts (French, Hong Kong, and / or Singaporean companies), preparing cash flow and financial forecasts, being involved in all legal and tax aspects (e.g., transfer pricing studies) in cooperation with other internal departments such as Finance and Operations;
- Corresponding in writing and orally with winemaker producers based in France (in French)
- Drafting documents and reports (in English and French) in connection with each project (e.g., bi-annual reports, regular correspondence with investing partners);
- Drafting and editing of marketing materials (e.g., memoranda, presentations);
- Supervising, operating and managing on a day-to-day basis the distribution joint-venture companies with certain French wine estate partners including preparing all supporting documents for meetings of the Board of Directors of each company.

2. Tasks related to the development of new vineyard projects and wine distribution companies:

- Identifying new potential vineyard projects and preparing corresponding detailed business plans;
- Participating in the due diligence of new vineyard projects identifying, measuring and potentially mitigating agricultural, operational, legal or tax risks across jurisdictions;
- Preparing and participating in the pitch of new wine distribution companies to potential new partners.

3. Interactions with external parties:

- With financial, tax, and corporate advisors, both in Asia and France: coordinating various matters, organizing, conducting and attending meetings and teleconference calls, preparing briefing, minutes and follow-up documents;
- With external legal advisors coordinating and supervising the drafting and the review of legal binding contracts such as shareholders’ agreements, management contracts or distribution contract;
- With participating Members of Le Club FICOFI: attending meetings including Le Club FICOFI events and drafting correspondence and documents;
- Maintaining good and trustful relationships with representatives and staff of our producer partners based in France in relation to wine production and operational aspects, in French both in writing and orally over the phone.

4. Other tasks and duties as required for various department and projects within the group.
- Be educated at a post-graduate level;
- Possess a minimum of ten years of professional experience in a financial services company, a consultancy firm, an accountancy firm, a law firm, and / or the finance department of a large company;
- Soft skills : be self-starting, pro-active, independent, have a strong sense of analysis and team spirit, pay attention to detail, and be a hard and diligent worker with high ethical standards, ability to think out of the box and to propose solutions to solve complex financial structuring issues and negotiation deadlocks;
- Hard skills : Significant experience in corporate finance and financial structuring and risk management, being well versed in French contractual and agricultural law, proficient in French GAAP and IFRS, experienced in financial consolidation. Significant knowledge of the fine wine production and distribution business, in particular of Burgundy wines.
- Be fluent in French and English, both verbal and written. Fluency in Italian, Spanish and / or German is a plus.
- Be available to work outside regular office hours (including weekends as necessary especially in relation to live transactions) given the requirements of time difference management between France and Asia;
- Demonstrate a proven ability to interact with so-called “ultra-high net worth” individuals across cultures and countries;
- Master the use of Microsoft Office tools, in particular in Microsoft Excel;
