As part of the Executive Management Team, the Assistant Manager, Business Development will be instrumental to InfraCo Asia’s mission, which is to catalyse the private sector investments needed to bridge the infrastructure gap in Asia’s emerging and frontier markets. InfraCo Asia Development Pte. Ltd. (InfraCo Asia) is a commercially managed infrastructure development and investment company of the Private Infrastructure Development Group (PIDG). Headquartered in Singapore, InfraCo Asia catalyses greater private sector investment in infrastructure across South and Southeast Asia by providing funding and development expertise.

InfraCo Asia funds early-stage development activities to realise socially responsible and commercially viable infrastructure that contributes to sustainable and inclusive economic growth. InfraCo Asia is currently funded by four members of PIDG - the governments of the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Australia.

**Position Summary**:
The **Assistant Manager, Business Development **will play a key role in the Business Development team, to support the origination and screening of new projects, and build InfraCo Asia’s pipeline of opportunities, for co-development and co-investment. Reporting to the Head, Business Development, the Assistant Manager will engage directly with project partners, co-developers, stakeholders, and play a vital role to support InfraCo Asia’s Executive Committee (Exco) in bringing potential investment proposals through the approval process.

The Assistant Manager will collaborate closely with internal teams (such as HSES, Development Impact), undertake due diligence, negotiate commercial terms, finalize and support the execution of joint venture and investment agreements between InfraCo Asia and the project partner, that meet InfraCo Asia’s investment criteria and fulfil its mandate of catalysing private sector infrastructure investments in the South Asia and South-East Asia region.

**Requirements and Attributes**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Economics, Accounting, Business, Law or equivalent from a reputable university, MBA or Master’s degree in relevant fields is preferred.
- At least 8 years of hands-on and progressive work experience in infrastructure project (driving business development in an independent capacity) in a multinational context in Asia.
- Experience in infrastructure sector, working with international development institutions and/or regional experience in Asia would be advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience in developing a strong pipeline of quality investment opportunities in developing markets in Asia, with strong consideration of sustainable development impact, health, safety, environment and social aspects.
- Possess strong negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills to drive projects forward, achieving positive outcomes in a collaborative, consultative approach, in a multi-cultural setting.
- Ability to anticipate market trends, employ sector/country knowledge, assess development impact, in order to identify, isolate and mitigate risks at an early stage.
- Good understanding of Risk and Compliance requirements including IFC PS, US-FCPA and UK Anti-Bribery Act, and international agreements related to climate mitigation and adaptation.
- Good understanding of debt and equity structures, other financial instruments, market risk analysis and management relevant to financial transactions.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and adaptable to change.
- Highly analytical with strong business acumen.
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Highly proficient in both oral and written English. Proficiency in one or more of the regional languages in one of the countries where InfraCo Asia is mandated to work is a plus.
- Strong appreciation and passion for PIDG and InfraCo Asia’s mandate with a strong work ethic and desire to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment essential.
