Electronics Engineer

**POSITION: ELECTRONICS ENGINEER (FULL-TIME)
**Award-winning medical device startup (GyroGear.co **) has an opening for a skilled **Electronics Engineer **at our **Singapore office **. We are developing intelligent wearable devices to stabilize hand tremors for 200 million people globally.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
We are looking for an **Electronics Engineer **whose responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
**Electronics Engineer (EE) Design**
- EE hardware development project planning, tracking, and management in line with company plans and objectives.
- Strong knowledge and experience in electronics circuit design, hardware and software (HW/SW) Interface Sheet architecture block, and PCB layout.
- Solution selection and circuit design; Generate BOM, HW/SW Interface Sheet, and coordinate PCB build and assembly.
- Electrical System Architecture study and revision.
- Electronic component selection with design-to-cost approach, worst-case calculation, Thermal calculations/measurements.
- Experience in Engineering Design Reviews with design FMEA, Layout FMEA (with external Schematic/PCB layout Designer), structured problem solving, and circuit simulations tools.
- Prepare Documentation and Drawing/Specification release in compliance with ISO13485 and other medical device regulatory requirements.
- Forecast operating costs for the electronics department and contribute to yearly budget forecasting and business cost planning.
- Support, where relevant, the electronics development effort by contributing to the technical deliverables.
- Design testing methods to analyze product capabilities and troubleshoot relevant engineering issues.
- Work on product-sustaining projects, which involve replacement or redesign of obsolete components, product improvement features, cost reduction, manufacturing support, and field complaints.

**Samples Build**
- EE BOM creation, and handling of new EE components for sample build.
- Plan, build, and deliver prototypes (Bare PCBs fabrication and PCBAs) and HW prototypes bring up (Handling both HW & SW debugs and conducting failure analysis).

**Test And Validation**
- Specifies the electronic modules and setup EE test plans/concepts (Prototype, EMC, System Testing)
- EE Test & Verification (switch, load box, power supply / oscilloscope / signal generator).
- Lifetime testing / Reliability testing, Environmental testing, EMC & ESD testing for Design Verification / Design Validation.

**Cross-Discipline and Cross Location**
- Collaborate with external Software developers, System tests, Mechanical Designers, and Quality / Regulatory / Clinical team members.
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors for technical discussions.

**Others**
- Work on product-sustaining projects, which involve replacement or redesign of obsolete components, product improvement features, cost reduction, manufacturing support, and field complaints.
- Generation of weekly electronics project update reports for peer review.
- Implement and maintain the highest possible levels of personal and team safety, led by example and previous lessons learned.
- Coaching and supervising colleagues as and when needed.
- Contributing heavily to intellectual property generation.
- Contributing heavily to innovation, and next-generation development.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
- Preference with at least 3 years of working experience in the design and development of medical devices.
- Ability to speak and write in English, and function as part of a global team whose language of communication is English and Mandarin.
- Familiarity in leading teams with digital collaboration systems.
- Experience with managing employees virtually, and internationally.
- Excellent interpersonal and team skills to guide other staff.
- Ability to focus on team and partners to meet company deadlines.
- Exceptional management, organizational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
- Experience with quality management systems and ISO standards (13485, 14971, 60601)
