We are looking for an Underwriter with a focus on single-risk property business, for our underwriting team in Singapore. Reporting to the Head of Facultative & Corporate South-East Asia, you will be responsible for business development, underwriting and administration of facultative and corporate business for our South East Asia business. **Your Role**: - Underwriting facultative and corporate property business in South East Asia, including assessing the risks, evaluating and providing reinsurance terms and conditions in accordance with the applicable underwriting authority, underwriting guidelines, internal directives, targets and client strategies. - Developing and growing a sustainable book of business and exploiting new business potentials by closely interacting with clients and brokers, understanding their strategy and business needs for developing joint opportunities. - Developing innovative insurance solutions and products in addition to conventional covers in close co-operation with other business units. - Supporting our client management and our treaty underwriters on technical questions and business development by taking a high degree of proactiveness and consistently exploiting all synergies available with Munich Re worldwide. - Developing and executing risk-management concepts including joining risk inspections for target risks and supporting clients on risk assessment matters, if required - Organizing and conducting seminars / workshops for clients and internal staff, providing clients with value-added services. - Executing portfolio performance and market analysis. - Maintaining and expanding technical and market know-how. **Your Profile**: - Professional underwriting experience in the primary or reinsurance property insurance market for at least 3-10 years with Property (Re)insurance for the Large Corporate Single Risks, preferably for Asian markets. - Technical knowledge of the relevant underwriting processes including risk evaluation, pricing high level of competence in reviewing contract wording exercises for the complex property business segment - Capabilities and passion to actively conduct and solicit business opportunities from clients and brokers. - Desirable experience in engineering and risk management / risk inspections (loss adjuster and claims adjuster experience are welcomed) - Strong IT and analytical skills. - Creative and demonstrates strong ability to work in a diverse and multi-cultural team - "Fluent in business English (written and spoken), with proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia (written and spoken) as a plus. - Good communication, negotiation and presentation skills. **Our Benefits**: - Flexible and Hybrid working arrangements - Generous annual leave allowance - Competitive dental, life and health insurance coverage - At Munich Re, we embrace, and value, the interaction of diverse backgrounds, experiences, perspectives and thought.
