Sdlc Software Engineer

Our team is responsible for Goldman Sachs’ mission critical production platforms including:

- Private and public cloud computing platforms
- Distributed scheduling
- Security and critical infrastructure services
- API platform
- SDLC
- CI/CD

In this role, you will work on multi-year initiatives to build out our strategic, highly scalable and resilient SDLC platform using cutting-edge technologies and streamlining processes for our engineers across the firm.

**ARTIFACT HOSTING & INGESTION**

You will be part of Artifact Hosting & Ingestion, a global team of Java & Python developers managing the firm's language ecosystem specific artifact repositories, container repositories, and external software ingestion into the firm. These services need to be highly available and reliable, and they collectively serve millions of API requests and artefact downloads per day.

One of the services we manage is Software Acquisition Manager (SAM), a proprietary service used for securely ingesting external software artifacts into the firm. Join us as a senior engineer part of the core team focusing on Artifact Ingestion, managing the service end-to-end including developing code, safely deploying changes to production, troubleshooting in Linux environment, supporting internal clients, and re-architecting for public cloud utilizing AWS. Collaborate with the secure supply chain initiative to align artifact ingestion with secure supply chain strategy.

- Be part of the core team to drive strategic uplift of core SDLC platforms to increase throughput, latency, scalability and resiliency
- Build strong relationships and enjoy collaboration with other high caliber engineers open to adopting new ideas

**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR**
- 7+ years of professional software development experience in one of Java, Python, Go, or similar
- Knowledgeable about networking (TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, HTTP, SSH, etc.)
- Experience with relational databases
- Strong problem solving / analytical skills
- Team player, eager to work in a global organization
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Highly entrepreneurial and motivated

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- Experience with public cloud environments such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) / Serverless / RDS
- Experience in architecting horizontally scalable systems with knowledge of elastic compute and distributed systems patterns
