**Your new company**
Out client is a renowned reinsurance company within the SEA region. They are currently on the lookout for a Claims Manager to help manage their claims team.

**Your new role**

Below are some of the key responsibilities for the role;
- Manage a portfolio of large claims across different classes of business both Treaty and Facultative claims of all classes, assessment of adequate reserves, determine coverage and the correct amount of the loss, and claim settlement;
- Handle all classes of claims, engagement of external specialists and setting of reserves, follow-up on development, investigation of losses to final claims settlement;
- Ensure claims governance and controls are adhered to. Minimise claims leakage. Monitor and ensure proper recording, filing systems and accuracy of all bookings;
- Pro-active handling of swing claims to achieve savings and or to mitigate our exposure;
- Prepare and present write-ups for major losses to senior management;
- Attend to brokers, clients and business contacts and handle their enquiries promptly and efficiently;
- Appoint and liaise with Specialist Surveyors, Adjusters, Lawyers and other service providers as necessary

**What you'll need to succeed**
- At least 10 years’ experience in Reinsurance Claims or Direct Claims environment
- Strong technical knowledge on Property and Casualty claims
- Added advantage for applicants who have experience in Aviation, Engineering, Credit, Bond or Marine Hull claims handling
- Added advantage for applicants with understanding of proportionate / non-proportionate treaty
- A team player who is self-motivated and able to work independently
