**Job Description - Grade Specific**:
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Install, configure, and maintain Unix/Linux servers (RHEL).**:

- **Manage, provision and support VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi hosts and vCenter.**:

- **Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning.**:

- **Implement and maintain system security, patching, and compliance in line with CIS benchmarks.**:

- **File system and storage management, Manage disk partitioning and logical volume management (LVM), including resizing and splitting mount points.**:

- **Automate routine tasks using shell scripting (Bash, Perl, Python) or configuration management tools.**:

- **Maintain backup and disaster recovery procedures for Unix and VMware systems.**:

- **Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.**:

- **Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.**

**Required Qualifications**
- **Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.**:

- **5+ years of hands-on experience in Unix/Linux system administration.**:

- **3+ years of hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter.**:

- **Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, NFS, etc.).**:

- **Experience with storage systems (SAN/NAS) and backup solutions.**:

- **Familiarity with ITIL practices and change management processes.**

**Preferred Qualifications**
- **VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification.**:

- **Linux Administration Certification (e.g., RHCSA, RHCE, CompTIA Linux+).**
