**Role: Unix / Linux System Administrator**

**Responsibilities**:

- Install, configure, and maintain AIX, Solaris, and Linux operating systems on standalone and virtual machines (LPAR/VIO, LDOM, and VM).
- Detect, diagnose, and report UNIX-related problems on servers.
- Provide daily support for UNIX operating systems, including:Capacity utilization,OS patches,Storage allocation,Volume management,Hardware maintenance.
- Manage operating system installations and administer UNIX environments.
- Collect and analyze system data for capacity planning, develop capacity plans, and coordinate with management to implement changes.
- Perform OS hardening in compliance with standard security policies.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of AIX hardware and software components, including user and operator procedures.
- Conduct routine performance maintenance to ensure continuous system availability.
- Develop and implement disaster recovery procedures to ensure business continuity.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience with Ansible playbooks and automation.
- Strong knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift.
- Experience with containers and Kubernetes (preferred).
- Familiarity with IBM architectures, Oracle servers, and Dell server technology.
- Practical experience in writing and debugging shell scripts in standard UNIX shells.
- Ability to diagnose complex system issues and provide effective solutions.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
