Canine Programme

**PROJECT MANAGEMENT & LAUNCH**
- Project manage and launch the new Canine Programme Centre in Enabling Village where EQUAL will deliver our Canine-Assisted Learning (CAL) programmes for a range of beneficiaries.
- Finalise the set-up and organise the official launch of the Centre.
- Adopt and train new therapy dogs for the programme.
- Ensure the wellness and welfare of our therapy dogs.
- Manage the new Centre as EQUAL’s Centre Manager.

**PROGRAMME DESIGN & DELIVERY**
- Design and develop programmes and finetune the pedagogy and methodology for our CAL programmes and services delivery using evidence-based framework.
- Cultivate partners for EQUAL’s CAL programmes, events and activities and enrol beneficiaries into programmes.
- Conduct and facilitate programmes and services.
- Develop processes to bring about quality standard and services in programmes delivery.
- Prepare beneficiary progress reports and ensure timely submission to stakeholders.
- Design and administer programme evaluation measurements
- Conduct needs and outcome assessment to measure and enhance programme relevance and effectiveness.

**TEAM MANAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT**
- Manage, mentor, coach and supervise a team of senior/programme instructors, providing guidance and motivation to achieve the set objectives of EQUAL’s programmes.
- Oversee resource planning (staff, dogs, van, budget, spaces, etc)
- Manage the performance review and development of direct reports by identifying their areas of improvement.
- Prepare and monitor budget for EQUAL’s Canine Programme.

**COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS**
- Explore new avenues of collaboration with schools, partners and stakeholders.
- Develop and build multi-stakeholders’ relationships and pipeline to expand and enhance the impact of the programmes.

**STRATEGY & DEVELOPMENT**
- Work with the leadership team and the Board on the strategic growth of the organisation.
- Explore areas of innovation and collaboration and setting up systems for greater efficiency.
- Any other areas assigned.
- Weekend shifts may be required.

**Preferred Achievements / Characteristics**
- Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in programme management and/or working with various beneficiary groups, preferably in the social services sector
- Good track record in leadership and managerial roles
- Educational and professional background in psychology, social work, counselling, casework or equivalent work involving beneficiaries will be an advantage
- Passion and love for animals; Experience with dog-handling and training will be a bonus
- Animal-assisted intervention background and experience working with animals and people will be a strong advantage
