**Roles & Responsibilities**
The main focus of this position is to manage a department of Consulting Division, which consists around 10 Consultants, in order to realize sustainable growth of the business of Consulting Division of NRI Singapore as a hub office in ASEAN region.
This position should not only maintain several major existing clients and obtain business from them but also develop new clients and business area leading colleagues. In addition, this position oversees some mid to large size projects as Project Manager.
As a Department Head, the incumbent is expected to possess deep knowledge and human network in several industries.
**Manage sustainable growth of the department**
- Manages around 10 Consultants in order not only to achieve business targets but also to support the growth of each Consultant of the department.
- Leads members to conduct daily business in compliance.
**Business Development**
- Seeks project needs with current/existing clients as well as prospective clients.
- Identifies clients’ challenges/needs and comes up with possible research and consultation services that can resolve the challenges.
- Develops project proposals and discusses those with Management as necessary.
- Delivers proposals to the client and obtains new project(s).
- With the Management, determines project member(s) of new projects.
**Project Management**
- Faces with clients for project issues.
- Communicates with Project Manager and/or external parties (subcontractors, vendors and other group companies) regarding the projects.
- Manages project budgets of mid to large size projects.
- Oversees projects, supports Project Leaders and provides advices for project execution.
- Performs Project Leader tasks if necessary.
- Assists research/consultation activities if necessary.
- Provides on-the-job trainings to Consultants and Analysts.
- Upon completion of the projects, reviews the result and discuss it with project member(s).
- May lead substantial size projects if needed.
**Other responsibilities include**:
- Brand Creation: Publishes articles through group companies or internal periodicals, newsletters, or external media.
- Knowledge Sharing: Develops useful knowledge contents and shares contents with other group companies.
- Group Support: Develops sales related materials.
- People Development: Leads internal training session.
- Institutional Building: Searches research outsources, proposes and leads new systems, proposes and leads other supportive systems and policies.
- Others: Contributes projects/pipelines that are led by other offices.
**Education**
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university.
- Advanced degree such as master’s degree (M.A./M.S.) may help project execution/management.
**Past experiences**
- At least 7 years of senior level research analysis and/or consulting experience.
- At least 3 years of management for small team of Consultants.
- Establishing continuous relationship with some clients and obtaining several projects from a client.
- Financial analysis and business planning experiences.
- Has in-depth knowledges and experiences of specific business process.
- Industrial expertise (deep knowledge of specific industry) of several industries based on both education and experiences.
- Fluent in English and Japanese to liaise with our Japanese clients and counterparts.
**Travel**
- Domestic/international travels are required up to 50%.
