Security Assistant

**Job Overview**:
This role will be a part of planning and managing all station security operations as well as acting as Vistara’s

ambassador and representative for all key local requirements and stakeholders.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:
**Safety and Security**:

- Participate in periodic security drills and collaborate with security team at the Airport to ensure secure operations
- Ensure compliance of all security requirements, as required by the Authorities and/or Company policies
- Ensure safe work practices to minimize risk of injury to personnel or damage to aircraft
- Ensure all baggage-related policies related to safety and security are strictly followed
- Be responsible for all matters pertaining to security operations

**Airport Operations and Service Delivery**:

- To manage and supervise functions and activities within the scope of security operations in accordancewith AVSEC Order 5/2009 and any other relevant Order or Circular issued by BCAS
- To ensure compliance of relevant Circular/ Order issued by Civil Aviation Authority of the destinationassigned
- To conduct daily briefings and regular audits to ensure that the operations are performed in accordancewith the relevant standards, policies and procedures
- To ensure seamless and professional handling during operational situations, including during irregularoperations, for all passengers
- To ensure that all facilities used by Vistara are always up to the cleanliness standards
- Providing appropriate feedback to Head Office for future developments

**On time performance**:

- To ensure effective and efficient management of aircraft rotation and to ensure compliance with regulatory directives
- both Indian and local
- To manage daily security operations through the Security Service Providers
- Responsible for driving local OTP initiatives and raising OTP awareness amongst all the stake holders atthe Airport

**IRROPS and Crisis management**:

- Assist Airport Manager in handling all aspects of IRROPS, including customer management andcommunication, local customer handling, visa, and accommodation requirements
- In conjunction with Security department at head office and local organizations, develop and maintain aneffective and comprehensive contingency plan for security and emergency procedures with the localAerodrome Operator, local authorities and the Company Emergency Response Manual
- Participate in periodic emergency drills organized by the Airport Operator along with key teammembers

**Planning and vendor management**:

- Effectively monitor and manage Service Level Agreements (SLA) of vendors and ensure compliance of Vistara standards and specifications
- Provide input and timely escalations to contracts team/ Head Office on identified opportunities forimprovements and cost effectiveness

**Administration and Relationship management**:

- Develop and maintain relationships with key internal partners, Security agencies and all other key partnersat the Airport

**Leadership, Development and Ethics**:

- To constantly re-evaluate training and development needs and actively coordinate with Head Office/Training department for arranging the batches
- Inculcate “Vistara Service Culture and Work Ethics” amongst the staff and our vendors at the

Airport
- Be a passionate and details-oriented role model for staff in all aspects of the job

**Financial Management**:

- Manage regular auditing of Security Service Provider for invoices raised, in coordination with Head Officeand Finance Team
- Any other task assigned by Reporting Manager and/or Chief Security Officer

**Skills/Attributes**:

- Trained and certified in AVSEC Basic Course conducted by Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS)
- Relevant Work Experience in Aviation Security and sound understanding of SecurityProcedures
- Good Communication Skills
- Preferably certified by BCAS
