**II. JOB PURPOSE**
- The role holder is responsible
- 1) For pastoral well-being of students.

2) For supporting the academic team in managing day to day issues arising from student body.

3) To be a Bilingual student mentor and counsellor

**III. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Functional**

**Subject Knowledge and Methodological Competence**
- Works with students to promote positive attitudes, self-discipline and a proper regard for authority and good behaviour, in line with the school’s Expectations of Conduct
- Acts as an advocate for students facing personal difficulties in school
- Is responsible for the attendance, behaviour, progress and pastoral wellbeing of designated students
- Provides regular feedback to parents/ carers and students in relation to progress, achievement, behaviour, attendance and other key issues
- Liaises with colleagues, students, parents and external agencies as required
- Supports colleagues in matters of student indiscipline
- Supports the Academic Team in managing the day to day issues arising from the student body
- Implements clear systems of rewards, consequences and tracking student behaviour
- Keeps the Head of School informed of students’ behaviour and achievement
- Arranges support for colleagues in their classroom for positive discipline and classroom management
- Liaises with the PE department for the physical well-being of students
- Develops and maintains positive working relationships with parents
- Initiates and responds to communications with parents ensuring that they are kept fully informed and involved in all pastoral issues involving their children
- Meets with parents when necessary to discuss the progress of students.
- Appraises parents of concerns, events and whole school celebrations.
- Mentors students before and during exams

- Attends to proxies and invigilation duties.
- Attends events and activities conducted in school
- Carries out any other duties assigned

- Reflects regularly on the development of personal and professional capabilities.
- Develops an understanding of the relationships between scientific disciplines and their influence on other areas of knowledge.

**IV. JOB REQUIREMENTS**

**Minimum Qualifications**
- Graduate
- Preferred Masters in the desired Subject with International Teaching.
- Computer literacy, is required to work on software.
- Fluent Bilingual Level: reading, writing, speaking; a professional command of the two or more languages

**Experience**
- 3-5 years of experience
