**Position Overview:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Menu Curation and Innovation**:Spearhead the development and ongoing evolution of an enticing cafe menu that caters to diverse tastes and dietary preferences.
Create original, seasonal dishes that incorporate fresh, locally sourced ingredients to provide a unique dining experience.
- **Recipe Creation and Standardization**:Develop, document, and standardize recipes for all menu items to ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes.
Continually refine and update recipes to keep the menu current and competitive.
- **Kitchen Leadership**:Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation.
Manage kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and kitchen assistants, by recruiting, training, and providing ongoing guidance and direction.
- **Quality Assurance**:Uphold rigorous standards of food quality and ensure that all dishes leaving the kitchen meet or exceed customer expectations.
Conduct regular taste tests and inspections to maintain consistency and flavor excellence.
- **Customization and Dietary Accommodations**:Accommodate special dietary requests and allergies by personalizing dishes as necessary.
Provide menu options for customers with dietary restrictions.
- **Food Presentation Excellence**:Guarantee that all dishes are artfully presented, adhering to the cafe's visual standards.
Collaborate closely with the front-of-house staff to ensure consistent presentation.
- **Supplier Relationships**:Establish and nurture relationships with local suppliers and vendors to secure a steady supply of fresh, high-quality ingredients.
Negotiate pricing and delivery schedules to optimize procurement.
- **Compliance and Safety**:Adhere to strict food safety regulations, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices.
Maintain all required licenses and certifications.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a chef specializing in cafe-style cuisine, with a strong track record in menu creation.
- Exceptional culinary creativity and a passion for experimenting with flavors and ingredients.
- Outstanding leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in food cost control and inventory management.
- Impeccable attention to detail and a commitment to delivering top-quality food.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

**Education**:

- A culinary degree or equivalent formal training is advantageous but not mandatory.

**Experience**:
