The Cluster Sales Executive is responsible for providing support to Cluster Director of Sales & Marketing and participate in all local sales activities, accounts and meetings in line with the hotel budget. He/She will assist and extend sales support to plan activities, provide support to cluster sales and reservation team including but not limited to contracts, enquiries, reports and guest enquiries. They work in a smart and savvy way to achieve hotel budget revenue year on year. They are creative in their approach and work towards a successful hotel strategy in conjunction with the greater hotel team.
**Financial Returns**
- Monitors competitor’s activities and assists in marketing intelligence
- Refers international sales leads to appropriate person within the team
- Aware of sales strategy and goals when selling to negotiate optimum rate for the benefit of the business
- Sells all facts of the hotel with a view to optimizing opportunities for revenue growth
- Handle all sales and reservation queries that come directly to the hotel and support reservation with daily tasks and month-end reports
- Grows existing and new business and pursues all appropriate leads by supporting the cluster sales team
- Secure meeting groups leads for cluster sales team
- Assess and update cluster sales and marketing data daily and monthly
- Assist cluster sales team in updating monthly account management file
- Extend reservation assistance in the absence of reservation agent (training will be provided)
- Stock control of collaterals and corporate gifts
- Manages production and distribution of gift vouchers and complimentary stays as per the hotel policy
- Work closely with the Cluster Sales and Marketing team to prepare and participate in sales events, cluster events and hotel events
- Collaboratively working with hotel team for all internal events
**Guest Experience**
- Follows Holiday Inn & Holiday Inn Express behaviours when working with internal and external customers
- Services existing business through management of in house guests queries
- Respond to guest complaints and ensure corrective action to resolve their issues / concerns
- Develops and maintains contact with business generators, travel agents, tour operators, airlines, corporate accounts, government departments and other producers closely aligned to hotel business
- Entertain clients with a view to maximizing business opportunities
- Plan and conduct familiarization tours and site inspections
- Assists with the preparation of new products and services
- Assists in the evaluation of sales planning activities collaboratively with cluster team
**People**
- Encourage high service standards in the hotel through training and leading by example
- Ensure all colleagues are aligned with the Stay Real Be You brand service behaviours
- Interfaces with operations on a timely basis in regards to future and existing needs for customers
**Responsible Business**
- Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, team members and hotel assets in compliance with hotel’s or owner’s policies and procedures and regulatory requirements
- Develop and carry out action plans to be environmentally conscious by taking steps to reduce the hotel’s carbon footprint
- Acting responsibly when working with hotel budget and expenses, seeking prior approval Cluster Director of Sales & Marketing when required
Cluster Sales Executive will fulfil a role within the hotel reporting directly to Cluster Director of Sales and Marketing with additional responsibilities and working relationships required with the Sales, Marketing, Reservations and the greater hotel team.Great communication skills and basic computer literacy
- Minimum diploma or equivalent three years’ service in the service industry
- Sales and Reservations experience is an advantage
- Great communication skills and basic computer literacy
- A positive and keen to learn attitude
- Must be proficient in written and spoken English
- Must be keen to enhance the role for further career development within IHG hotels
