**Operations Specialist**

**Your part in Neste’s journey**

You will be team lead of the dynamic Commercial Operations team who coaches and supports the sub teams daily work, execution of commercial, service and/or terminal contracts, ensuring optimal operational performance. Supporting the team in operational challenges, growing operational awareness and overall competency in the team with an in-depth knowledge of operations processes and actions. Drive accurate daily work performance, streamline and efficient processes. Support strong team culture and well-being to achieve set targets.

In your role, you will
- **Independently leads and supports the team’s daily performance providing Subject Matter Expertise**
- **Analyzing productivity and workload of team members.**
- **Participates in recruiting. Onboarding, orientation, mentoring and coaching of new and existing team members**
- **Participates in performance planning. Follows up on sub team's performance. Provides feedback and identifies teams training needs**
- **Implementation and coaching of Neste templates, instructions and principles**
- **Ensures desk instructions are complete and kept up-to-date. Coordinates vacation and cover planning**
- **Participates in team’s business support, value creation and efficiency adding actions**
- **Leads their weekly team and relevant stakeholder meetings**
- **Coordinates team’s Monthly business review reporting. Supervising and approving designated month end closing activities.**
- **Coordinates internal/external audit requests**
- **Works closely with internal and external stakeholders to improve operational performance**
- **Other possible responsibilities and tasks assigned by the management**

You will work closely with external customers, cargo inspectors and logistics suppliers. Your main internal stakeholders include operations team members, sales and supply managers, supply chain planners, finance, laboratory etc. to ensure high level customer and supplier experience. Our work combines commercial understanding with accuracy and cooperation as well as the desire to develop and renew.

**Keys to success in this role**

The best combination of experiences, skills and background is
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant area, e.g. from business, supply chain or engineering/technology
- Prior experience in international commodity business and/or logistics
- Fluency in English is a must, both written and oral
- Have a business and result oriented mindset
- Ability to prioritize and handle pressure
- Have a flexible, responsible and independent approach to work
- SAP experience is an asset
- Experience in a leadership role is an asset

We also value
- Relevant knowledge of oil and renewable industry, especially from Asia Pacific’s region
- In-depth knowledge of cargo operations workflow and efficient ways of carrying out operations with ability to understand the big picture
- Performance-driven attitude
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, virtually and in person
- Commercial awareness - ability to understand the drivers of a commercial trade and associated P&L
