The role of a Head of Inbound Transport Operation you will be responsible for managing the transportation department's daily operations, with a primary focus on assigning drivers for various transport services catering to inbound tourists. Your role will play a crucial part in ensuring a safe, efficient, and customer-centric transportation experience for travelers visiting our destination.Job Responsibilities: Transportation Logistics Management: Plan, coordinate, and manage transportation services for inbound tourists, including airport transfers, tours, and other transport needs.Ensure that vehicles are well-maintained, safe, and compliant with local regulations. Fleet Management: Oversee the fleet of vehicles used for transporting tourists, including buses, vans, and other modes of transportation.Schedule vehicle maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime. Route Planning and Optimization: Develop efficient transportation routes to minimize travel time and maximize tourist experiences.Monitor traffic conditions and adjust routes as needed to avoid delays. Cost Management: Manage transportation budgets, including fuel, maintenance, and labor costs.Seek cost-effective solutions without compromising safety and quality. Team Management: Supervise and lead a team of drivers and support staff, ensuring they are well-trained, motivated, and adhere to safety protocols.Manage driver schedules and work assignments. Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all local and national transportation regulations and safety standards.Implement safety training programs for drivers and staff. Customer Service: Maintain a high level of customer service by ensuring tourists have a comfortable and pleasant transportation experience.Address customer complaints and concerns promptly. Vendor Management: Collaborate with transportation service providers, such as rental car agencies or taxi companies, to secure additional vehicles as needed.Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships. Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency response plans for transportation-related incidents or accidents.Coordinate with local authorities and emergency services when necessary.Education Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Management, Hospitality Management, Logistics, or Transportation Management is typically preferred.Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role within transportation management, preferably in the travel and tourism industry. Prior experience working in an inbound travel agency is highly desirable.Skills: Transportation Expertise: Thorough knowledge of transportation logistics, regulations, and best practices.
