The Laboratory of Cancer Molecular Pharmacology, led by Dr. Mei Wang, at Duke-NUS Medical School studies the causes and treatments of cancer and related diseases. In particular, the research in Dr Wang’s laboratory focuses on the impact of protein prenylation on cancer cell signaling and novel cancer therapeutics targeting this process.

We are looking for a Research Fellow / Senior Research Fellow to conduct and lead research studies within the overall scope of the research activities under the supervision of the lab Principal Investigator including but not limited to the following:
Independently carry out the design and execution of experimental research required by the research component of the project.Keep updated on research literature, conceptualise and present new ideas and develop plans for innovative research, which could have a considerable influence and impact on the relevant field attracting research funding.Conduct experiments, mentor junior scientists on the research team, and manage relevant research activities.Perform other related duties incidental to the work described therein.Job Requirements

PhD in Molecular Cellular Biology, Biochemistry/Biotechnology or related disciplines. Applicants with higher credentials may be considered for more senior appointments. Strong hands-on experience in biochemical assays, basic protein chemistry, molecular biology techniques and cellular assays are essential.Proven track record as evidenced by peer-reviewed publications.Possess strong critical thinking skills, able to analyse and interpret scientific data, as well as good communication and presentation skills.Prior exposure to in vivo work and bioinformatics training are highly favoured qualities.A team player who is able to prioritise, multi-task and work collaboratively in a diverse workforce.
