Core Responsibilities
- Drive the mid
- and long-term capacity planning and solutions to drive efficiency and optimisation for APAC and China region
- Define mid and long-term capacity planning methodology and process to support a growing physical distribution footprint in close collaboration with distribution managers and other functions. Scope includes Regional Distribution Center (RDC) and Local Distribution Centers (LDC’s)
- Establish capacity planning control tower for distribution network feasibility, and hereby ensuring Distribution becomes a proactive enabler for regional and local business plans and growth ambition
- Lead planning and design of future physical distribution plans in the region
- Provide extended focus on RDC long-term planning and analysis, including forecasting of relevant capacity groups and scenario planning
- Develop comprehensive analysis, simulations, and tradeoff transparency for regional and local route-to-market changes
- Partner Procurement to establish, implement and continuously improve RFI/RFQ methodology, standards and process
- Drive the process for defining and continuously reviewing strategic direction and roadmap for the Distribution team, including defining future services and capabilities needed
- Lead Distribution Performance Management agenda to ensure;
- Regional S&OP deliverables are delivered timely, in right quality and with adequate storyline 2) clear definition of important metrics, open scoreboards and adequate global/regional/local storylines 3) regular performance measurement review of metrics and scorecards are conducted

The role will sit in the APAC & China Distribution team and will look after the physical distribution network from factory to retailers and consumers hands.

Do you have what it takes?
- Experience leading supply chain cross-functional projects, logistics development projects and successful continuous improvement initiatives
- Previous expertise in distribution planning, strategy development and project management
- Experience within Logistics/Distribution planning and strategy development. Certification in LEAN thinking or Six Sigma methodology, Project management, relevant consumer industry would be a plus
- Experience delivering results through partnership and collaboration, with strong communication, presentation and leadership skills
- Strong analytical, strategic and problem solving skills
- Agile, proactive and able to lead initiatives independently
- Clear understanding of logistics cost drivers and the trade-offs within the supply chain
- Hands-on management of distribution operations and handling 3PL suppliers
