Human Resource Assistant

**Responsibilities**:
- Performs day-to-day broad range of HR activities including recruitment from on-boarding to off-boarding, leave administration, payroll, benefit & training administration
- Provides advice and counsel to employees on HR queries and employee relation matters including disciplinary or grievance handling
- Handle NSmen make-up claim, paternity, maternity, childcare leave, medical & insurance claims
- Administration of training related matters
- Maintain accurate HR database and up-to-date employee records
- Ensure up to date maintenance of all training procedures and records in accordance to ISO requirement and government legislation
- Generates and maintain regular HR reports as required
- Perform other ad-hoc projects or duties when required
**Requirements**:
- Diploma in Business Administration/Human Resource Management or equivalent
- At least 2 years relevant experience in manufacturing sector with good understanding and knowledge of applicable labour laws and regulations
- Knowledge in Sage HR System is an advantage
- A hands-on individual who is able to multi-task, work independently as well as in a team and under pressure
- Analytical and meticulous, with strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Resourceful, self-driven and high degree of professional integrity
- Self-starter, proactive, effective problem-solving approach, resourceful, well organized and ability to multi-task.
- Comfortable with different cultures and mindsets, initiative, outgoing and social
- Have an appropriate sense of urgency with an ability to work under pressure and within short time constraints
- Able to start work immediately
