A*STAR Infectious Diseases Labs (A*STAR ID Labs) is seeking for a Research Fellow to join us in our mission to be a leading centre of infectious diseases research. A*STAR ID Labs aims to develop a cohesive A*STAR response to drive and deliver translational infectious diseases research to better health and economic outcomes.

The laboratory headed by Dr. Marco Vignuzzi is leading cutting edge research in virus evolution and novel antiviral approaches and vaccine therapies. As such, we are seeking a highly motivated, dynamic individual to become a postdoctoral research fellow in our new laboratory in Singapore and help launch its research programs.
- To establish an independent research program focused on developing pre-emptive strategies to block arbovirus transmission cycles and their emergence in the human population before they occur
- To implement state-of-art computational pipelines/software for the analysis of the genomic, transcriptomic and proteomic data generated in the lab
- Write and review research papers, present research outcomes and develop connections with local and international researchers for collaboration work
- To help train junior researchers and graduate students in the lab

**Job Requirements**:

- PhD in Computational Biology
- At least 3 years of relevant working experience in either OMICS approaches or virology
- Experience in R/Python/Bash/Matlab programming languages, HPC cluster architecture and with Unix based platforms
- Expertise in using tools for the analysis of various next generation sequencing technologies (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics) and their integration
- Experience in Evolutionary Sciences and Molecular Biology with wet-lab experience
- Evidence of being able to work in interdisciplinary environment
- Bioinformatics and statistics background
- Ambitious and independent
- Team player and sociable
