Job Title: Studio Manager Department: Middle Management level

**Works closely with: Director, Project Manager, Clients, Partners and Collaborators**

**General Scope**:

- Studio managers represent and ensure the business is well perceived and taken care of around the day-to-day operations.
- Studio Managers also supervise staff concerns and oversee the daily operations that make the studio tick. To ensure a smooth and profitable operation of a graphic design studio. To achieve their first priority of managing staff and overseeing the daily operatives and smooth business of the company.

**Brand maintenance and General Management**:

- Decide and devise strategy to maximise the profit and productivity of the studio with better use of socials, subscriptions, grants and equipment.
- Plan and strategise meaningful collaborations, features and portfolio projects.
- Detangle communication channels and welfare of staff and improve studio wellbeing via a working budget.

**Business Development**:

- To work with designers to build currency’s brand to be more known and seen.
- Ensure any questions and enquiries from clients, press and job seekers are answered and establish FAQ and protocols for processes.
- Research and clean up formal and official documents such as contracts, forms and receipts. Ensure our scope is well termed and protected from any potential litigation.
- Conceptualise hygiene posts and maintain Currency’s new website and social media platforms.
- (Re)Introduce the business to old and new clients
- Assisting to check and send invoices and chase studio finances.
- To review and strategise finances with the project manager and director.
- The Studio Manager works with the project manager to round up jobs with clients and track invoices and payments to make sure they are paid in full.
- Reconciliation of expenses are documented and paid.

**Technical Tasks**:

- Studio Managers may be called upon to ensure installations, operations, maintenance or troubleshooting of equipment are catered for.
- To optimise equipment and studio space management, to schedule repairs and replacement of equipment.
