Job summary
As AWS continues to rapidly grow, we seek an APJ Leader to define and execute the Services Expansion strategy for our fast growing Digital Native Business (DNB) and Independent Software Vendor (ISV) segments. You will be responsible for collecting and analyzing inputs from these dynamic customers, partners, our sales teams and all the AWS functional business partners and resources to drive a holistic Go To Market (GTM) strategy for APJ. You will implement those best practices with your peers and their teams in the APJ region to drive a consistent and well-thought-out business strategy that will accelerate the expansion of AWS services in these market segments.
You must be comfortable with leading and influencing cross-functional regional & global teams in dynamic organizations as most of your responsibilities will have interdependencies with other teams within AWS.
In this role, you will have successful experience in growth-oriented business development roles in the technology sector with focus on technology businesses. You will have deep cloud IT domain expertise and deeply appreciate how AWS can help tech businesses adopt AWS for their IT and business. You will need a strong sales and analytical acumen, synthesis, structuring, and problem solving skills to translate ambiguous and often incomplete information into action plans and insights. You will need a strong bias for ‘invention’ and ‘simplification’, demonstrated experience in cross-functional stakeholder management and alignment, solid program management skills, a customer-obsessed and collaborative approach, and strong data and metrics bias. You will also need passion for narrative style writing for business plans and programmatic initiatives. Lastly, you will need to be comfortable in highly visible executive and senior leadership settings where your perspective, vision, and results will be challenged and inspected.
You will possess business development, leadership and technical experience that enables you to lead teams with engagements at the CxO and Board of Director level as well as with VP/Dir of Engineering, DevOps and IT. You will also need to successfully engage internally with Managing Directors, Service leaders, VP/Directors and CxOs to advocate for your customers and collaborate on strategy and execution.
In this role you will lead and influence customers to build, shape and accelerate their AWS business. - Build and leverage relationships with all internal and external stakeholders to further the adoption of AWS services in the market
- Develop and work with partners to extend reach and drive adoption
- Develop and execute against a set of goals to incubate and drive long term strategy
- Technical background in engineering, computer science, or MIS a plus
