Lead Software Engineer for Content Management

Our vision is to reinvent the arcade industry by creating an arcade experience ecosystem that consists of physical arcade games and location-based VR games and experiences, and other exciting arcade-based titles. Our team members have the opportunity to contribute across a broad range of unique and innovative projects that connect, engage, and excite players across physical and virtual worlds.

LAI is growing, and we want to expand our support to our customers by offering remote software management in our games, and we want to provide our customers with comprehensive use-data of our games.

To expand our software team, we’re looking for an experienced lead software engineer, to help us get to the next level. The lead engineer will be the driving force in building our software capabilities in game development.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Be a team lead and a mentor for the software engineering team, by:

- Leading the team to best practices for product development
- Leading the software team in LAI to translate our goals into concrete requirements.
- Mentor the software team members to review and resolve software development issues.
- Sets attainable goals to team members to complete the project on time.
- Provides guidance to team members to encourage work productivity.

Define, create and implement our software management system, by:

- Oversee the definition of the architecture and design of the software management system.
- Create the capabilities and competencies we need by training, outsourcing, or hiring the right people.
- Be the technical consultant and project manager for the software outsource team.
- Manage the creation, implementation and lifecycle of the system.

**Required Skills and Experience**:

- 10 years of hands-on software development experience.
- 5 years of experience in the backend field of data engineering or content management.
- 2+ years of experience in managing, mentoring, and leading software engineering teams
- Excellent software project management skills
- Solid critical-thinking and decision-making skills
- Proficient in finding creative solutions to complex problems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with and lead colleagues.
- Some working knowledge of games or working with correspondence of hardware and software design is preferred.
- Solid experience on designing microservices architecture hosted on cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Solid knowledge of Rest APIs, Frontend framework (ReactJS, AngularJS, Vue.js), Backend Framework (.NET Core, Java)
- Good knowledge of authorization and authentication framework (OAuth2).
- Experience on offline online data synchronization is a plus.

**Qualifications/Education**:

- Master’s degree level in Computer Science or related fields, attained either by education or by experience.
