Digital Alchemy is an inclusive and diverse employer, we do not discriminate on any basis including gender, ethnicity, religious background, sexuality and any other factors, **we actively recruit for a strong and diverse workforce."** **Responsibilities**: **Compliance and Regulatory** - Create and maintain efficient compliance frameworks and operations; comprehend fundamental compliance tasks and related technological solutions covering compliance risk assessment, policy management, testing, monitoring and surveillance, and reporting. - Develop a compliance monitoring program, oversee the implementation of new regulations, and update existing procedures to ensure continuing compliance (e.g.: AML, Corporate Governance, Banking law, etc.) - Create, evaluate, put into practice, and oversee regulatory, risk management, and processes. - Always assess any changes that could have an impact on the project. - Submit any compliance program concerns and non-compliance problems to the internal audit and legal team, along with the creation of a management review to handle any necessary remedial steps. - Provide internal management with advice regarding risk-related project operations and any other policy development, such as the implementation of compliance initiatives. **Task and general management** - Oversee the recordkeeping, monitoring, and analytical tasks related to regulatory compliance, anti-money laundering (AML), the National Credit Bureau (NCB), and other compliance-related activities. - Create and implement the project's response to proposed and altered regulations. - Be current on pertinent laws and regulations and keep an eye on internal rules and legal compliance. - Work with other departments in the project to make sure that all business processes follow project policy and explain any new external elements that may affect the project, such as changes to the law or other compliance requirements. - Perform operational audits to make sure the project complies with operational standards. - As required, take part in the various ad hoc compliance tasks**.** **Team management** - Lead, monitor, and oversee team members as they perform their tasks in order to meet the target, including obtaining necessary sign offs and approvals. - Lead and facilitate problem solving any issues within the area of accountability. - Review and evaluate continuing performance of subordinates. Set key performance indicators. **Qualifications**: - Bachelor’s degree or higher Law, Finance, Business Administration, or relevant field - 4+ years in a compliance and/or compliance operations role with a financial services firm, preferably in the payment or Fintech space - Management experience leading teams in a dynamic and expeditious setting - Extensive knowledge and expertise of AML regulations, risks, and typologies - Strong operational knowledge in executing and running a sound Compliance program, preferably with hands-on knowledge of payments and relevant regulatory requirements. - Proven ability to work with in a fast-paced creative environment. - An independent executor who can perform flawlessly. - CAMS certification preferred.
