Junior Legal Counsel

This is an entry-level position. Under the guidance of our Legal Counsel, as a Junior Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and support on various aspects QCP Capital’s business. You will oversee and facilitate the negotiation of corporate and commercial agreements. You will also provide support on regulatory and compliance matters both within and outside Singapore.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Work with other departments of the business and provide legal advice and support across a wide range of corporate, transaction, and regulatory matters.
- Support, assist and advise on the legal front for general commercial and corporate matters, including but not limited to drafting, negotiation and review of contracts/agreements
- Support, assist and advise on the company’s maintenance of, and obligations towards its counterparties/customers, including but not limited to managing commercial agreements (i.e., trading agreements, ISDAs, CSAs, Trading Agreements, NDAs, MOUs, etc.).
- Support, assist and advise on the company’s push towards maturity as a regulated and licensed financial institution as the in-house Subject Matter Expert on regulatory and legislative issues, working with external counsel both in Singapore and in any new jurisdictions identified as future growth areas;
- Liaise with external counsel in various jurisdictions to any resolve legal and regulatory issues.
- Research and remain up to date on the applicable laws and regulations which concern the business.
- Maintain and update the company’s regulatory and compliance documents, and other policies and procedures to ensure they are up-to-date and comply with applicable regulations.
- Ensure ongoing processes and controls are complete and accurate recordkeeping of all documentation and relevant communications with internal stakeholders, regulators, and clients.
- Provide support to internal stakeholders when required.

**REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law or equivalent from a reputable university.
- 0 - 2 years of relevant work experience
- Need not be called to the Singapore Bar. Mentorship and on-the-job training will be provided.
- Strong verbal, presentation, and written communication skills. Good command of English, other languages are advantageous.
- Experience in drafting and negotiating transactional documents and advising business stakeholders.
- Highly motivated self-starter and team player, able and keen to work in a fast-paced and demanding, yet collaborative, environment.
- Have the legal right to work in Singapore
