Market Analyst

IFPI is looking for a Market Analyst to join its Southeast Asia regional office, which is based in Singapore. This position reports to the Regional Director, Southeast Asia and Director of Global Data & Analysis.
The Market Analyst will provide high quality market data in the Southeast Asia region, using the data to provide insightful analysis to our members. Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the Charts and Certifications work in Southeast Asia, including:
- Producing weekly charts.
- Working with National Groups across the region to introduce charts to new markets.
- Assisting in the development and roll out of updated certification (Gold/Platinum sales awards) methodologies across the region.
- Analysis of charts and certification trends.
- Improving revenue data reporting across Southeast Asia, by ensuring that the proper frameworks and processes are adopted.
- Providing member companies with market analysis.
- Assisting members/affiliates in their reporting to IFPI.
- Supporting programming team in head office, for programming planning and enhancements.
- Preparing materials and research for IFPI’s committee meetings.
- Collecting chart and market data metrics for IFPI’s Global Music Report.
**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**
- Bachelors degree in Business, Economics or a related field.
- Advanced Excel skills preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Good communication skills, including a good command of written and spoken English.
- Good interpersonal skills - listening, understanding client needs and relating well to clients.
- Knowledge of the music industry is advantageous but not essential.
